Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SetSquad (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

SetSquad is a mobile application and website for LEGO enthusiasts to track their collection, time their builds, and compete on global leaderboards. The Service uses publicly available LEGO set data from the Rebrickable API.

User Accounts

To use certain features, you may need to create an account using Apple or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service

Intellectual Property

The SetSquad application, its design, code, and branding are owned by SetSquad. LEGO set data is sourced from the Rebrickable API and is subject to their terms.

User Content

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service, including your collection entries, build times, and ratings. You grant us a limited license to store and display this data as part of the Service (e.g., on leaderboards).

User-Generated Content & Moderation

SetSquad allows users to upload photos, videos, profile avatars, and bio text ("User-Generated Content" or "UGC"). By uploading UGC, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the content and that it complies with these Terms.

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any UGC that violates these Terms. Moderation may be performed using automated systems (including AI-based content analysis) and/or manual review by our team.

Prohibited Content

You may not upload, share, or distribute content that:

  • Contains real-world graphic violence, gore, or depictions of physical harm outside of a newsworthy or educational context
  • Contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or pornographic content
  • Promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Contains harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation directed at other users
  • Depicts or promotes self-harm or suicide
  • Contains spam, deceptive content, or impersonation of other users or brands
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation

SetSquad is a family-friendly platform focused on LEGO building. Content that is unrelated to the purpose of the Service may be removed at our discretion.

Account Sanctions

Violations of these Terms, including uploading prohibited content, may result in escalating sanctions:

  • Warning: A notice that your content has been removed and a reminder of the community guidelines.
  • Temporary suspension: Your account may be temporarily suspended for a period of 7 to 30 days, during which you cannot access the Service.
  • Permanent ban: Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent removal of your account and all associated data.

We operate a strike-based system. Each violation adds a strike to your account. Accumulated strikes lead to escalating sanctions as described above. You may appeal a sanction by contacting us at legal@setsquad.app.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SetSquad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero, as SetSquad is free).

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
